Materials

I source my materials from reputable, mostly UK-based companies. Where possible the bullion purchased is recycled sterling silver and gold, which is then handcrafted into my signature textile inspired jewellery.
Once this bullion is transformed into beautiful necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings and brooches, anything weighing 7.78 and over requires a hallmark to be described as silver.
If the piece weighs under, it can be described as silver.
If the piece weighs over 7.78g and no Hallmark is present, it is described as 'White Metal (unhallmarked sterling silver)'
All my jewellery is available for hallmarking. Please select the hallmarking option when buying a piece or get in touch if you'd like an underweight piece to be hallmarked. If you choose this option, please take into consideration the extra cost and time required for the jewellery to be sent off to the assey office for this to be carried out. If you need the piece urgently, and there isn't time for hallmarking, this can be done at a later date. However, there will be extra postage costs.
I work with a variety of finishes. These include polished, matt, oxidised, gold plated and occasionally gold upon request. The oxidised (blackened) finish is created using a liquid solution which blackens the sterling silver. This solution is washed off leaving the silver black. Silver naturally oxidises (tarnishes) over time. The oxidising process which I use intentionally speeds up this process.
I also incorporate threads and quality semi-precious beads into my textile art jewellery.
