If you're looking for a wholesome activity this bank holiday weekend, look no further than the Green Walk Open House Arts & Crafts in Whalley Range.

The event is located in a leafy green residential area off Upper Chorlton Road (M16 9RE). Lined with trees, Edwardian semi-detached houses, and a central communal green, the residents of Green Walk organise and open up their homes, turning their living rooms, kitchens and hallways into intimate galleries where local artists and designers showcase their creative work, and the public can buy directly from these small independent businesses, with the added bonus of being able to have a nosey at these beautiful homes!

Green Walk is now in its 17th year, this pop up arts trail is such an uplifting event.
For one weekend only (2nd - 3rd May, 10am - 5pm), this South Manchester cul-de-sac is filled with an eclectic range of painting, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, glass-making, photography, and more.
It's a great opportunity to meet and chat with the artists and makers, to learn about their processes, materials and inspiration. In addition to the open houses, you can take a break on the central green to enjoy music, refreshments from the charity tea tent and artisan food from Tibetan Kitchen, Wrapscallion and Ginger's Emporium handmade ice cream and sorbet. The perfect way to relax and refuel.

You can find me (Suzanne Claire Jewellery) and my French knitted, crocheted, woven and stitched jewellery at No.29 Green Walk, along with landscape artist Sarah Riley and artist/printmaker Cate Gibson.

I will also be making throughout the weekend - French knitting with wire, crocheting with chain and stitching into silver. Come and see my process for yourself!
This relaxed and friendly event promotes well-being and creativity. Green Walk is loved as much by the artists as the visitors attending. It's the perfect opportunity to find new makers and to support them. It's also free, although you will definitely come away with a purchase or two!
I hope to see you there!
